Stephanie Berman has been gone far longer than she graced the
halls of Hightstown High School. But nearly fifteen years after
Stephanie died in an auto accident, her memory lives on.

“We have never forgotten her and the tears never stop flowing”,
says her former field hockey teammate and close friend, Sara
Yaeggy. In the season following her death, the field hockey team
dedicated the season to the memory of Stephanie Berman. At the
very next game, during the coin toss at center field, a blue
butterfly darted around Sara, trying to get her attention. The
butterfly lightened the mood and helped replace the tears with
smiles.

Recently her former teammates dedicated a garden, complete
with a beautiful butterfly bush, near the athletic complex of
Hightstown High School to honor Stephanie’s short life. For a girl
with a passion for working with children and valued team member
for field hockey, swimming and gymnastics, it was a wonderful
gesture of love and remembrance.

Come join the Berman family on Sunday October 23rd, 2022 as
they remember their elusive butterfly, Stephanie, while at the
same time raising money for a great cause, The Hightstown High
School Parents Association After-Prom Committee.
